Kindergarten
Students will be able to:

Second Grade
Students will be able to:

Students will be able to: · Create abstracted pictures of real life things. · Explain how they are using the art elements as they are creating artwork. · Neatly and properly use painting materials. · Paint a smooth watercolor wash. · Identify complimentary colors and describe their relationship. · Create space in a drawing with a foreground, middleground, and background. · Create compositions with both variety and unity. · Create drawings with emphasis and a theme. · Draw real objects from observation. · Draw an expressive self-portrait with a deepened level of understanding of placement and proportion of facial features. · Create pinch pots with decorative pieces properly attached. · Explain the drying and firing process of ceramics. · Be introduced to a variety of famous art movements (Pop Art, Impressionism, Modern, Fauvism, etc.) · Be introduced to a variety of famous artists (Andy Warhol, Leonardo Da Vinci, Vincent Van Gogh, Georgia O’Keeffe, etc.) |
